Summary
This study explores whether low-intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU) can temporarily change brain activity to reduce chronic pain. Eighty adults with moderate-to-severe pain lasting at least 3 months will receive brain scans, pain tests, and questionnaires over 10 weeks. The goal is to see if this noninvasive approach can ease pain sensation and improve quality of life.
