First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested a portable device called the Infrascanner to monitor people with traumatic brain injury. The goal was to see if it could accurately detect when a brain bleed gets worse, without needing repeated CT scans. About 400 participants with a confirmed brain bleed were enrolled. The device uses light to check for changes in the brain, which could help doctors act faster.
