No-Needle kidney check: MRI could replace biopsies for transplant patients

NCT ID NCT07333495

First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study explores a new, non-invasive MRI method to monitor kidney health after a transplant. Instead of relying on blood tests or invasive biopsies, the MRI measures blood flow and oxygen levels in the kidney. The goal is to detect problems earlier and more accurately, improving long-term outcomes for transplant recipients. About 1000 participants will be enrolled across multiple hospitals.
