New imaging tech could spare kidney patients from painful biopsies

Summary
This study tests two new imaging methods—ultrasound and light-based scanning—to see if they can safely check the health of a kidney transplant. Ten adult kidney transplant patients who already need a biopsy will also get these non-invasive scans. If the scans work well, they might reduce the need for biopsies in the future.
