Finger cuff could replace invasive heart tests for lung disease patients
NCT ID NCT05618093
Summary
This study aimed to test if a simple, non-invasive finger cuff device could accurately measure how well the heart is pumping in patients with severe lung blood pressure conditions (PAH or CTEPH). Researchers planned to compare the finger cuff readings against standard, more invasive heart catheter measurements in up to 100 participants over one year. The goal was to see if this easier method could help doctors better assess disease risk and monitor how patients respond to treatment.
