First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new method to measure central venous pressure (a key heart health indicator) without inserting a catheter. Researchers will use a pressure cuff and Doppler sensor on the forearm of 30 children (ages 0-17) in the intensive care unit. The goal is to see if this non-invasive approach gives accurate readings compared to the standard invasive method. Participation involves one 30-minute session with no extra hospital visits.
