No-Needle MRI could spare Crohn's patients long, uncomfortable scans
NCT ID NCT06526234
First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looked at 250 people with or suspected of having Crohn's disease to see if a quick MRI without contrast injection could detect bowel problems as accurately as the standard longer MRI with contrast. The goal is to make the exam easier to tolerate, especially for those whose symptoms have improved. The researchers compared the two methods to see if the simpler scan is enough to tell normal from abnormal results.
