Summary
This study compared two ways to do dialysis at home for people with end-stage kidney disease: overnight automated dialysis (APD) and daytime continuous dialysis (CAPD). The goal was to see if the overnight method cleans the blood just as well as the daytime method, and if it improves quality of life. 137 non-diabetic adults took part, each trying both methods for 12 weeks. The results help patients and doctors choose the best dialysis schedule.
