Shocking ankles back to health: new combo therapy tested
NCT ID NCT07190599
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding mild electrical stimulation to special stretching exercises can help people who have had an ankle sprain. Sixty adults aged 18-30 with a history of ankle sprain will be split into two groups: one gets both electrical stimulation and stretching, the other gets stretching alone. Over four weeks, researchers will measure changes in balance, strength, range of motion, and daily function to see if the combo works better.
