First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests whether gentle electrical pulses to the leg muscles can help people with COPD feel more confident exercising, and reduce shortness of breath and fatigue during daily activities. About 40 adults with mild-to-severe COPD will receive the stimulation over 8 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in exercise confidence, breathlessness, and tiredness using simple questionnaires and physical tests.
