Boosting the immune system to fight leukemia relapse

NCT ID NCT03300492

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether giving specially grown immune cells from a stem cell donor can help prevent cancer from coming back after a transplant for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). The main goal is to see if this approach is safe and practical for patients who have received a transplant from a partially matched family donor. Researchers will also check if these 'natural killer' cells are active and help control the disease.
