Direct shot to mouth spots aims to halt cancer before it starts
NCT ID NCT05327270
Summary
This is an early safety study to see if injecting a drug called nivolumab directly into high-risk mouth lesions is safe and tolerable. The goal is to see if this local treatment can shrink or eliminate these precancerous spots to prevent them from developing into head and neck cancer. The study involves a small group of 18 adults with visible, untreated lesions in the mouth.
