Summary
This study tested two immunotherapy drugs, nivolumab and ipilimumab, in 143 people with advanced anal cancer that had spread and not responded to earlier treatments. The goal was to see if these drugs could shrink tumors or slow cancer growth by helping the immune system fight the cancer. While not a cure, the approach aims to control the disease and improve outcomes for patients with limited options.
