First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests if breathing nitrous oxide (laughing gas) can reduce pain and anxiety when removing a cervical stitch (cerclage) in late pregnancy. About 60 pregnant women will be randomly assigned to receive either nitrous oxide or standard care (no pain medicine) during the quick procedure. The goal is to see if it makes the experience more comfortable and satisfying.
