Summary
This study is testing whether nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, can help reduce the chronic pain of fibromyalgia. Researchers are comparing two 60-minute sessions of inhaled nitrous oxide to a placebo (oxygen-air mixture) in 50 adults with fibromyalgia. The goal is to see if this treatment can provide meaningful relief from pain and improve daily function and mood for people living with this condition.
