First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests if nipple stimulation can safely and effectively induce labor in first-time mothers, compared to the standard medication oxytocin. About 988 women will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. The goal is to see if nipple stimulation leads to more natural deliveries, better breastfeeding rates, and higher satisfaction.
