First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study compares nipple stimulation to standard oxytocin medication for inducing labor in first-time mothers. About 988 women will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. The goal is to see if nipple stimulation leads to more spontaneous vaginal deliveries, better birth satisfaction, and fewer complications for both mother and baby.
