First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study reviewed medical records of 75 women who had a nipple-sparing mastectomy to prevent breast cancer. Researchers looked at how often complications occurred within 42 days after surgery. The goal was to understand safety and how well the surgery removed breast tissue while saving the nipple. No new treatments were tested.
