Summary
This study tested a surgery called nipple-sparing mastectomy in 450 women with early-stage breast cancer. The goal was to see if removing the breast tissue while keeping the nipple and skin could keep cancer from coming back in that area. The approach aims to improve how the breast looks and feels after surgery, while still controlling the disease.
