Can working nights weaken your bones? small study investigates

NCT ID NCT05074277

Summary

This small, completed study aimed to understand if working night shifts could temporarily harm bone health. Researchers studied 20 healthy young adults, simulating a short-term night shift schedule in a controlled setting to see if it changed markers of bone building and breakdown in their blood. The goal was to learn if this disruption happens and if returning to a normal sleep schedule can fix it.
