Scientists test how nicotine 'Salts' in vapes hit your bloodstream
NCT ID NCT04231539
Summary
This study aimed to understand how nicotine from two different types of vaping liquid—'salt-based' and 'free-base'—gets into the bloodstream and affects users. Researchers had 15 daily vapers try four different e-liquids to measure nicotine levels in their blood and ask about their cravings, satisfaction, and the harshness of the vapor. The goal was to gather basic information on how these products work, not to test a treatment.
