Scientists probe why nicotine pouches hook young adults

NCT ID NCT07165808

Summary

This study aims to understand how the nicotine strength and flavor (acidity) of nicotine pouches affect how much young adults like them and how addictive they might be. Researchers will test different pouch formulas on 84 current users to measure appeal and potential for misuse. The goal is to gather evidence that could help regulators create rules to make these products less appealing, especially to young people.
