Vitamin-Like supplement studied for young colitis patients

NCT ID NCT05561738

First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether nicotinamide riboside, a vitamin-like supplement, is feasible to use in children and teens with mild to moderate ulcerative colitis. Researchers will track how many patients enroll and complete the study, and look at changes in cell energy centers (mitochondria) in the colon. The goal is to see if this approach is practical for a larger trial, not to prove it treats the disease.
