Could a common vitamin speed up stem cell recovery?

NCT ID NCT04332341

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a vitamin B3 supplement called nicotinamide riboside (NR) is safe and tolerable for people receiving a donor stem cell transplant. The goal is to see if NR can help the new stem cells settle in faster and reduce recovery time. About 20 participants will take NR daily, and researchers will monitor side effects and blood cell recovery.
