Could a simple vitamin help tame a gut disease in kids?

NCT ID NCT05561738

Summary

This study is testing whether a supplement called nicotinamide riboside, a form of vitamin B3, can help control ulcerative colitis in children and teenagers. Researchers want to see if the supplement improves how energy-producing parts of gut cells work. The study will enroll 40 young patients with mild to moderate disease to see if this approach is feasible and has a biological effect.
