Summary

This study tests a heart medication, nicorandil, as a possible treatment for hippocampal sclerosis of aging — a brain condition that looks like Alzheimer's but is different. Researchers want to see if the drug is safe and can slow brain shrinkage in people aged 75 and older with mild memory problems. The trial involves 64 participants and lasts 96 weeks.
