Summary

This study is testing whether a medication called nicorandil can help prevent serious heart problems in people who have both severe heart disease and kidney failure requiring dialysis. It will involve about 268 patients to see if taking the drug lowers their risk of heart attacks, strokes, or heart-related death. The goal is to see if this treatment can better control their heart disease.
