First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tested whether a long-acting version of the water pill torsemide helps people with heart failure get rid of more salt after lunch compared to the standard version. Twenty adults with stable heart failure took both types of pills on different days to compare their effects. The goal is to see if the extended-release form can better control fluid buildup without harming the kidneys.
