Doctors test Two-in-One stomach procedure for lasting weight loss
NCT ID NCT05559866
Summary
This study tested whether adding a heat treatment (Hybrid Argon Plasma Coagulation) to a stomach-stitching procedure (Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty) leads to better weight loss results. It involved 45 adults with obesity who had not succeeded with diet and exercise alone. Researchers compared the combined procedure to the stitching procedure by itself to see which was safer and more effective for weight loss and related health improvements.
