New oxygen cannula design tested to ease breathing crisis
NCT ID NCT05829083
Summary
This study is testing a new nasal oxygen cannula design against the standard one to see if it helps people during a COPD flare-up. It will measure if the new design helps patients breathe easier, lowers carbon dioxide levels more, and reduces the need for more intensive breathing support. About 50 participants will try both cannulas for a few hours each while researchers monitor their breathing and comfort.
