New Gut-Targeted pill aims to calm ulcerative colitis flares

Summary

This study is testing an experimental oral medication called ISM5411 for adults with active ulcerative colitis. The drug is designed to work mainly in the gut to help protect the intestinal lining and reduce inflammation. Researchers will compare the drug to a placebo in 80 participants to check its safety and see if it helps control the disease.
