NCT ID NCT07061574

First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether a low dose of anti-thymocyte globulin (ATG) followed by either adalimumab or verapamil can help preserve the body's ability to produce insulin in people aged 9 to under 21 who were recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The goal is to slow the loss of insulin-making cells, not to cure the disease. Participants will be monitored for two years to see how well their pancreas still works and to check for side effects.
