Scientists hunt for early warning signs of brain diseases
NCT ID NCT07467460
Summary
This study aims to find new, less invasive ways to detect and monitor Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease earlier. Researchers will collect and analyze blood samples, genetic data, and brain scans from 500 people with these conditions, some of whom also have type 2 diabetes. The goal is to identify patterns or 'biomarkers' that could lead to better diagnostic tests and monitoring tools, not to test a new treatment.
