New scoring system aims to level the playing field for stomach cancer surgery
NCT ID NCT07180966
Summary
This study is creating a new tool, called the SAH Index, to fairly compare how well different hospitals perform stomach cancer surgery. It uses existing medical records from 780 patients who had surgery in 2019 to account for differences in patient health before their operation. The goal is to help hospitals improve care and help patients make more informed decisions by providing a clearer picture of surgical quality.
