Simple blood test could revolutionize tuberculosis diagnosis
NCT ID NCT07170735
Summary
This study is testing a new, non-invasive blood and urine test to diagnose tuberculosis (TB) and monitor treatment. It aims to provide a faster, easier alternative to current methods like sputum samples or invasive biopsies, which can be difficult for some patients. Researchers will measure TB DNA levels in the blood and urine of people with active TB, latent TB, and healthy volunteers to see how well the test works.
