Radioactive seeds fight pancreatic cancer from inside tumors
NCT ID NCT05657743
Summary
This study is testing a new way to treat advanced pancreatic cancer by placing tiny radioactive seeds directly into the tumor. The seeds release a short-range radiation designed to kill cancer cells while sparing nearby healthy tissue. The main goals are to see if doctors can safely place these seeds and to check for any serious side effects. Researchers will also look for early signs that the treatment might help shrink tumors or improve quality of life.
