New hope for veterans: breakthrough PTSD therapy trial launches
NCT ID NCT03755401
Summary
This study is testing a new type of talk therapy called Trauma-Focused Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (TFPP) for veterans with PTSD who haven't gotten better with standard treatments. The therapy focuses on understanding trauma experiences without using exposure techniques. Researchers will compare TFPP to usual VA care in 75 veterans to see if it helps reduce PTSD symptoms.
