New film aims to calm drinking urges and PTSD anxiety

NCT ID NCT06335407

Summary

This is an early safety study to see if a new under-the-tongue film called BXCL501 is safe for people who drink heavily and also have symptoms of PTSD. Ten participants will take the film daily for 28 days while doctors check their blood pressure, anxiety, drinking habits, and other symptoms. The main goal is to see if the treatment is safe and shows any early signs of helping, which could lead to larger future studies.
