Experimental scan aims to pinpoint spreading prostate cancer
NCT ID NCT01543659
Summary
This study tested a new type of imaging scan to see if it could more accurately find prostate cancer that had spread to other parts of the body, particularly the bones. Researchers compared this experimental scan against standard scans in 77 men with advanced prostate cancer. The goal was to improve detection so that future treatments could be better targeted.
