Advanced scan trial aims to sharpen prostate cancer detection

Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET scan to see how accurately it can detect prostate cancer that has spread to nearby lymph nodes. It will involve about 383 men with high-risk prostate cancer who are scheduled for surgery to remove their prostate. Researchers will compare the scan results to the actual tissue removed during surgery to measure the test's accuracy.
