Could a simple ultrasound replace MRI for prostate cancer?
NCT ID NCT06024772
Summary
This study aims to see if a new, enhanced ultrasound technique is as good as the current standard MRI for finding serious prostate cancer during a biopsy. 300 men scheduled for a prostate biopsy will receive both the new ultrasound scan and a standard MRI to compare how well each method guides the biopsy needle to cancer. The goal is to find a potentially faster, more accessible, and equally accurate way to diagnose prostate cancer.
