New scan aims to sharpen prostate cancer detection

NCT ID NCT07164027

Summary

This study is testing whether a new type of PET scan, which uses a radioactive tracer to highlight prostate cancer cells, can better guide doctors when taking biopsy samples from the prostate. Researchers will compare this new method to the current standard of using MRI scans for guidance. The goal is to see if the new scan helps find more aggressive cancers that need treatment.
