New scan aims to sharpen prostate cancer detection
NCT ID NCT04838626
Summary
This study tested a new type of PET scan designed to find and pinpoint prostate cancer tumors more accurately. It involved 195 men with newly diagnosed, high-risk prostate cancer who were scheduled for surgery. Researchers compared the scan results directly to tissue samples from surgery to see how well the scan matched the actual disease.
