Skin-Scan could spot prostate cancer better

NCT ID NCT07075705

Summary

This study is testing whether a new type of ultrasound, placed on the skin between the scrotum and anus, can create clearer pictures of the prostate to help doctors find cancer during a biopsy. Researchers will compare this new skin-surface method to the standard internal ultrasound method in 138 men already scheduled for a prostate biopsy. The goal is to see if the new approach provides better images to detect concerning prostate changes.
