New device aims to make prostate cancer diagnosis faster and more precise

NCT ID NCT05362032

Summary

This study is testing a new medical device called the OmnEcoil system, which combines two prostate cancer diagnostic steps into one. Currently, men with suspected prostate cancer typically undergo an MRI scan and then a separate biopsy procedure. This device aims to perform both the imaging and the tissue sampling during a single session. The research will check if the device works properly, is safe to use, and is comfortable for patients.
