Blood filter could give moms with preeclampsia more time before delivery

Summary

This study tests a blood-filtering device (apheresis) to remove a harmful protein called sFlt-1 and restore a healthy balance in pregnant women with preeclampsia. The goal is to safely prolong pregnancy and reduce the risks of very early delivery. About 100 women with preeclampsia or normal pregnancies will participate to measure changes in key blood factors.
