New scan could reveal hidden inflammation in autoimmune disease

NCT ID NCT07062523

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET scan to see if it can better show inflammation in people with Sjögren's syndrome, a condition that causes dry mouth and eyes. Researchers will compare the scan results in 60 people with Sjögren's to scans from people with cancer to see if the patterns are different. The goal is to find a better way to measure disease activity to help doctors make more informed treatment decisions.
