Advanced scan trial aims to spot hidden prostate cancer
NCT ID NCT04655365
Summary
This study is testing whether a new type of PET scan (called 18F-DCFPyL-PSMA PET/CT) can better detect the spread of prostate cancer in men who are starting a specific treatment (enzalutamide). It compares this new scan to standard imaging methods like bone scans and CT scans. The goal is to see if the new scan finds cancer spread that the older methods miss, which could help doctors make better treatment decisions.
