New PET tracer could spot ovarian cancer more clearly

NCT ID NCT02637934

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This early-phase study is testing a new radioactive tracer called [18F]FTT to see how it moves through the body and how well it lights up ovarian, fallopian tube, or peritoneal cancer on PET scans. Up to 40 women with known or suspected cancer will join two imaging groups. The goal is to understand the tracer's safety and how it binds to cancer cells, which may improve future detection.
