New scan could give early clues to cancer treatment success

NCT ID NCT06549413

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET scan to see if it can tell doctors how well a patient's esophageal cancer is responding to chemotherapy and radiation. Researchers want to know if this scan can detect the cancer and show treatment effects earlier than current methods. The study will involve 60 adults with locally advanced esophageal cancer who are about to start this standard treatment.
