Sharper scans aim to spot hidden cancer earlier

NCT ID NCT05513027

Summary

This study tested a new, high-resolution PET/CT scanning technology to see if it could find small cancerous tumors more accurately than the standard scans used today. It involved 11 adult cancer patients who were already scheduled for a standard PET/CT scan. The goal was to see if the new, more detailed images helped doctors better identify which spots were cancer and which were not.
